(Original writing)

Inspired from a novel that I’m reading on (The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand) with EA nature touch of many people from different places all over the world, today our topics are all related to famous architecture, structures, or special places everywhere you let your imagination be. In each of the paper clip here written a place, you choose the one you like, inside I describe something about that place, and with a related quote – your topic is the quote. (Description is for knowledge, information, & fun only :D)

So if you’re ready let’s travel!ng together:

1- USAThe Statue of Liberty (New York Harbor) – It was “designed by (French Architect) Frédéric Bartholdi and dedicated on October 28, 1886. The statue, a gift to the United States from the people of France…representing Libertas, the Roman goddess of freedom, who bears a torch and a tabula ansata (a tablet evoking the law) upon which is inscribed the date of the American Declaration of Independence. .. The statue has become an icon of freedom and of the United States.” So, in the spirit of the freewill, your quote today is:

“Fear can hold you prisoner, Hope can set you free”

(Red’s said from the movies “The Shawshank Redemption”)

2- EgyptGreat Pyramid of Giza–Built around 2560BC (4500 years ago) entirely of limestone, and is considered an architectural masterpiece. It contains around 1.3mil blocks ranging in weight from 2.5 tons to 15 tons and is built on a square base with sides measuring about 230 m (755 ft), covering 13 acres. For thousands of year it’s the largest-tallest-oldest man-made structures on Earth. It’s still the oldest & the only one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World standing today. Hence, in the spirit of the miracle, your topic today is:

“If you were given a choice to pick new wonders of the world today. What would they be & why?”

3- SingaporeThe Merlion–Symbol designed by Fraser Brunner more than 45 years ago, used as a mascot of Singapore. Merlion is a mythical creature with the head of a lion and the body of a fish. The fish body represents Singapore’s origin as a fishing village, and the lion head represents Singapore’s original name — Singapura — meaning “lion city”. Think of the Merlion as a perfect blend of 2 different species as Singapore a (probably) perfect blend of many different races & culture. As such, in the spirit of this nation coming 46th birthday & of all the vegetarians & food’s lovers, your topic today is:

“If Singapore is a food or a fruit, to your widest imagination, what kind of food/fruit would it be?”

4- Somewhere on the MoonNeil Armstrong’s Footprint– on July 20, 1969 the spaceflight Apollo 11 landed the first humans on the Moon. Its commander Neil Armstrong was only on the Moon for less than 3 hours. Apollo was less than 10 days in mission. But it took America more than 20 years to achieve their goal and thousand and thousand years of human being’s dream of reaching the sky come true. (as) Neil Armstrong had put it “That’s one small step for (a) man one giant step for mankind”. Therefore, in the spirit of dreams & dreamers, your quote today is:

“You see things; and you say, ‘Why?’ But I dream things that never were; and I say, ‘Why not?’”

 George Bernard Shaw

5- Somewhere in Sahara DesertAn Oasis in Ahaggar Mountains – Sahara is the world’s second largest desert, after Antarctica. At over 9.4mil km2, it covers most of Northern Africa, making it almost as large as Europe or the United States. Think of huge massive endless dry-hot sands, so vast that the sky & the sand melting together without border. Then in the middle of this toughest condition, there lands an oasis with green palm tree for you to breathe fresh air, with water for you to drink, just like you’re now in this place. Isn’t it a miracle?  So, in the spirit of miracle & grace, your quote today is:

“There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.”

Albert Einstein

6- Somewhere within 1 meter reachYour heart– Your heart is only weighted less than 400 gram but do you know that: The average adult heart beats 72 times a minute; 100,000 times a day; 3.6mil times a year. Everyday, it creates enough energy to drive a truck 20 miles. In a lifetime, that is equivalent to driving to the moon and back. Moreover your heart is a symbol for passion, for love, and for every meaningful moment that count. Therefore, in the spirit of beautiful & meaningful things, your quote today is:

“What would you do if you knew you only had one minute to live?”

(Captain Stevens asked Christina in the movie “Source Code”)
